Dr. Jaime Fernando Delgado
Blockchain Architect
Jaime has a PhD in electronics engineering with more than 15 years of experience in programming, machine learning, data analysis, Blockchain technologies, protocol design and smart contracts architecture. His expertise includes academia as postdoctoral research at the University of Geneva and in industry, previous experience involves development of machine learning and signal processing methods at BRAINCOM, an international project funded by the European Commission, development of an agri-commodities platform using blockchain technology to verify and authenticate trades as well as tokenisation of grains at CEREALIA SA, and more recently the design and implementation of blockchain architecture and web platform for equity tokenisation at Liti Capital SA where he is Chief Technical Officer.
Dr. Theodosis Mourouzis
Cryptography & Game Theory
Dr Theodosis (Theo) Mourouzis is a cryptologist and information security professional with strong interests in both academia and industry. He holds a BA/MA in Mathematics and an MSc in Pure Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, an MRes in Security Science and a PhD in Information Security from University College London. He was the first recipient in the UK Cyber Cipher Security Challenge in 2013.
Theo is Managing Partner of Electi Consulting, a consultancy specialising in Blockchain, Cryptography and Artificial Intelligence. He is also Industry Associate at UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies, Expert in Residence at the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the London Business School and Blockchain Mentor for the Entrepreneurship at University of Cambridge Judge Business School.
He has extensive experience working with governments, leading companies and organisations such as Lloyds Bank, US Navy, MSC Shipmanagement, Technology Strategy Board (TSB), Centre for Defence Enterprise (CDE), European Central Bank (ECB) and many others. He is also acting as Blockchain technical expert for the European Commission in regards to Blockchain projects. He has worked for successful blockchain projects such as Crypto20, Qredo, Orakuru oracle and many others.
Dr Stylianos Kampakis
Protocol Design
Stylianos (Stelios) Kampakis is a Data Scientist and part of the Pollen DeFi protocol design team. Stelios has been involved in data science and artificial intelligence for more than a decade. He has a diverse scientific background that includes a PhD in Computer Science, as well as degrees in AI, statistics and psychology, giving him a unique perspective in the world of technology. He’s written a book on data sciences, is a member of the Royal Statistical Society and UCL Centre for Blockchain.
Dr Frederico Teixeria
Financial Modelling
Frederico is a Mathematician and holds a PhD in Computational Modelling from ETH Zurich. He accumulates over 15 years of experience in the numerical solution of differential equations, high-performance computing, optimisation, uncertainty quantification, meta-modelling, and machine learning. Nowadays, he is focused on research in the financial markets and DeFi sectors.
Adam Clarke
Co-Founder, Senior Software Engineer & Product Designer (UX & UI Lead)
Adam is a Co-Founder at Pollen DeFi, leading the UI/UX and frontend team. He has a passion for delivering intuitive and dynamic user experiences and has over 12 years experience across product design and software development. For the past 4 years he has been working in the world of Web3, where has has contributed to the development of a variety of decentralised applications.
Maarten Ectors
Decentralisation Lead
Maarten Ectors has over 23 years of experience in innovation and software. His role is to make himself irrelevant by converting Pollen into a fully decentralised organisation with an active open source ecosystem around product management, development and operations. Maarten is an entrepreneur and advisor/consultant to several blockchain companies including two of the biggest coin listings of 2021 and a stealth NFT/metaverse marketplace. As Chief Innovation Officer at Legal & General (UK #1 investment manager), Maarten launched the world’s first reinsurance on blockchain among other several award-winning innovators.
Sean Bond
Chief Marketing Officer
Sean has 20 years of marketing and advertising experience, working at various times (sometimes all at once) as a creative, strategist and business leader. He has set-up advertising agenices, built multidiscipline marketing teams for brands and agencies. His passion for crypto became a career in crypto. Initially at a launchpad for blockchain projects, Launchpool, Sean counts his blessings each day to be able to lend his perspective to business strategy, marketing strategy, and team leadership at Pollen DeFi.
Lana Pierce
Business Development Lead
Lana Pierce, the Business Development Lead at Pollen DeFi, joined with over 10 years of experience in sales and a demonstrated track record of success. Lana inspires team culture and connects global teams to bring business goals to fruition. Before joining Pollen DeFi, Lana worked in the technology space, namely enterprise data sales as Acxiom and consultative sales at Salesforce. No stranger to the start-up space, Lana has spent time diversifying technology teams across North America.
William Vandyk
Chief Operating Officer
William has worked for over 20 years in traditional financial services, initially in investment banking before moving to corporate development. He has led over 200 corporate transactions, including 34 IPOs and 63 takeovers, was head of Strategy & Corporate Finance at Schroders Personal Wealth, CEO of an ESG tech incubator and has built, led and sold a number of brokerage and investment businesses.
Doug Crescenzi
Protocol Engineer
Doug is a Protocol Engineer and a Founding Partner at Upstate Interactive, a software consultancy that specialises in full-stack Web3 development. He has an M.S. and B.S. in Computer Science from Syracuse University and a background in cyber security. Doug entered the decentralised technology space in 2017 where he has since led the development of multiple DeFi protocols and has helped build and deploy dozens of smart contracts over the years.
Om Parikh
Smart Contracts & Web3 Developer
Om is an ethereum smart contracts and web3 developer with specialization in the L2 scaling domain. He specializes in developing sophisticated smart contracts, cross-chain & multi-chain (rollups, plasma, commit-chains) protocol development, auditing smart contracts, developing subgraphs, working with oracles, etc. He used to work at Polygon in building L2 scaling solutions and doing public smart contracts audits at code4rena. He has a strong background in applied cryptography, information security and distributed systems.
Benjamin Lock
Co-Founder & Art Director
After escaping the finger buffet celebrations of sculpture college. Benjamin was blockchain ganged into co-creating the UK’s first crypto investor show. In a previous life he had a five year dalliance with Mini Mouse (Disney), a decade or so with The Grinch (Universal) and companies, before returning to Earth. Aiming to glitch the classical a pixel at a time.
Ismail El
Full Stack Developer
Ismail is a full stack developer passionate about Blockchain technology. He started his career 8 years ago working for tech giants such as Binance, Groupon and Bosch contributing to both front end and back end projects. For the past 3 years, Ismail has worked in the web3 space, developing smart contracts and front ends for various teams.
